PulseOne Terms of Use & Privacy Policy
Effective Date: November 3, 2025
1. Overview
PulseOne provides non-identifying polling questions on political, social, and cultural topics. Votes are aggregated to show anonymous, real-time trends by country or region. The platform is designed to preserve user privacy and anonymity.
2. Anonymous Participation
- No personal account or login is required to vote.
- Each device is assigned a random anonymous identifier (a UUID stored in a cookie) to prevent duplicate voting within a 24-hour window per country.
- No names, email addresses, or other personal identifiers are collected or stored.
3. Data Collected
We collect only the minimum data needed to operate the polling system:
- A random device ID (cookie)
- Country code inferred from IP address (not stored in raw form)
- Vote selection and timestamp
- Basic, non-identifying demographics if voluntarily provided (e.g., age band, gender, political leaning)
We do not:
- Store IP addresses, GPS, or browser fingerprints
- Sell or share personal data
- Track users across sessions or other websites
5. Use of Aggregated Data
Aggregated and anonymized data (e.g., vote counts, regional sentiment, trending topics) may be:
- Displayed publicly on PulseOne.io
- Shared with media partners or researchers
- Licensed to third parties for analytical or academic purposes
No personal or identifying information is ever included.
6. Liability & Disclaimer
The platform is provided “as-is.” PulseOne makes no guarantees about accuracy, availability, or completeness of results. Use is at your own risk.
7. Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
Users outside this jurisdiction acknowledge their data may be processed on servers located elsewhere for legitimate operational reasons.
